I'm no believer in any religion or the common notion of God, but I do believe that the human spirit is far too wonderous a thing to just disappear after our brief 'conscious' life. My Dad died when I was 18 but he is with me every day of my life and occasionally answers those questions, Julie is with you too and always will be.

The actions of the Scottish government were wrong (IMO), but it's just as wrong for these morons to sit across the Atlantic agitating for a return to hostilities in a war almost no one in Britain or Ireland wants. Of course, if they could find either country on a map, they might be able to visit and discover that for themselves.

Terrorism is evil and brutal, it doesn't matter who perpetrates it, but, I get the impression they genuinely do believe it's so much worse when it affects them.

Thanks for adding some insight into the existing manufacturing plant market.

I spent quite some time over in the Isle of Wight at one stage and can appreciate that the development of this significant manufacturing plant is of considerable local concern.

My main area of concern, is that Green protesters are actually targetting, Vestas, who are one of the few players in the wind turbine industry.

To retain the Vestas R&D facility on the Island, should be something the protesters laud. If a long term protest is set up by Greens, could well drive the intended investment in the R&D facility by Vestas to be relocated. Which would not only be of further damage to the Islands economy, but of potential harm to the indsutry as a whole.

The Vestas site is next to the river Medina and the blades are transported by barge for the short distance across the Solent to Southampton docks, so in that sense it's probably more eco-friendly than making them inland and having to transport them by rail or road.

But I agree it depends on where they're going to end up. Vestas were intending to upgrade the factory to make blades for the UK & Europe, but have now decided to close it. The blades that were being made there were mainly for the US market, I believe. Makes sense to keep the jobs and skills here, but stick to the original aim, I feel.

There needs to be a change in attitudes, too, if it's going to be turned around. And in planning.

I am sick to my stomach about the way this world mourns for a paedophile..

He may have made nice music (debatable: I did not enjoy it!!) but surely that is negated by such heinous crimes against children!

We are not talking about George Michael who fiddled with himself or smokes joints..Nor are we talking about Mel Gibson, who is an anti-semetic, drunken adulterer...But rather, we are talking about a disgusting, nefarious kiddy-fiddler!! To, me there is no crime worse, other than rape. So why the heck does the world mourn and say his that his death is a ltragic loss?

On FaceBook..there is such an outpouring of grief and sadness for this pervert..I'm sure other cyber-sites are inundated with similar stories. I wrote a note on my FB profile about MJ's paedophilia charges..and got shot down for disrespecting a legend..

Since when do we as a society respect a child-molestor?? Just beacuse he is famous does not excuse his repulsive actions!!

Everone says there's no 'hard' evidence.. Well to me paying of millions is an admission of guilt..

In regard to the original post, I state once again, shit happens.

Why should Podango loose out because of a tenants inability to pay rent. That is what insurance is for and is the responsibility of the tenant to pay the rent and insure themselves should their condition alter, not the landlord to be all lovey dovey sympathetic

Just read your post elsewhere about the Podango Productions situation, and jut had to look you up to call you the douche you are to your virtual face.

If anything, your comments about making money in the face of someone's illness should be directed at the parent company of Podango Productions, who was going to sell off everything before she could get a chance to get better. All Adam's doing is trying to make sure that there's something still there when she wakes up, under the circumstances imposed on him by that same parent company.

Usually I let stuff like this slide, especially from someone who can only be challenged on such comments through the comments on his blog (assuming, of course, you don't just delete this outright... that would be the douche-y thing to d, after all). But that comment was idiotic and could not be allowed to stand unchallenged.
